The Central Rail Systems Alliance (CRSA) is an alliance between Network Rail, Balfour Beatty, Atkins and TSO that together will undertake a £1.5 billion contract, in order to make a lasting positive impact on the UK track renewals industry and improve the railway for freight and passengers alike.
Over the next 10 years the alliance will work to improve passenger journeys through its projects, which includes next generation track regeneration.
The Central area is made up of North West and Central Region (previously LNW) and part of the Eastern Region (previously LNE and East Midlands). The CRSA depots are in Doncaster and Peterborough for the Eastern Region and for the North West and Central Region they are serviced by Preston and Birmingham, with a project office in Crewe. The company is also currently working on important projects in Leeds, Kings Cross and Euston.
