The Railway Benefit Fund

The Railway Benefit Fund started in 1858 and has been helping railway people for over 150 years.

We are the only charity to solely support railway people and their families.

The charity has one simply mission – to improve the quality of life of current and former railway people in the UK through the provision of customised support.

Assistance is provided in many forms, on a short or long term basis and is specifically tailored to an individual’s situation. Whether due to illness, injury, bereavement, or adversity. The charity offers financial assistance, practical help and wide-ranging advice, all in the strictest of confidence.
Nobody can predict the future, and offering that peace of mind within the industry is the RBF.

  • We are delighted to support such an innovative event. We haven’t seen anything of its kind before!

The Railway Benefit Fund has seen how much opportunity there is to develop a more diverse workforce and what massive benefits can be achieved by doing so.
We are keen to learn about the key factors which are limiting the levels of diversity in our industry. If there is something we can do at the RBF to support and make a difference then we will!
